POLYPRO® Polypropylene Monofilament Non-Absorbable Suture
DESCRIPTION
Polypro® is a monofilament polypropylene nonabsorbable, sterile surgical suture, composed of a strand of polypropylene, a synthetic linear Polyolefin. Polypropylene sutures are dyed blue.
CHARACTERISTICS

INDICATIONS
Polypro® polypropylene suture is indicated for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use is cardiovascular, ophthalmic, and neurological surgery.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
The use of this suture is contraindicated on patients with known sensitivities or allergies to its components.
TENSILE STRENGTH
Polypro® polypropylene sutures are nonabsorbable; no significant change in strength retention is known to occur in vivo.

Polypro® is available in USP sizes 10-0 through 5 (metric sizes 0.2-7). Polypro® is available with needles in one dozen boxes. Three dozen suture boxes available on customer request.
